  • Carlos Leon

    Board Member

Carlos Leon serves as a dedicated Board Member of the Faded Foundation, inspired by its mission to empower individuals affected by incarceration through career development in barbering. With a deep commitment to creating opportunities, Carlos aims to help the foundation provide 100 scholarships, breaking cycles of incarceration and transforming lives.

Carlos brings a wealth of experience to the board. As a recruiter in the DC Air National Guard and a board member of another nonprofit, the Pinolero Baseball Project, he leverages his expertise in outreach, fundraising, and networking to connect the Faded Foundation with valuable resources and partnerships. His background in finance and marketing, paired with his success in creating high-visibility partnerships—like one with the Washington Nationals—ensures his contributions drive tangible impact.

Having been a former student of the Faded & Company Barber Academy, Carlos has seen firsthand how barbering changes lives. Inspired by his fellow students, faculty, and close friends in the profession, his dedication is also deeply personal, having lost friends to the cycle of incarceration. He believes the foundation provides a much-needed avenue for individuals to find purpose and stability.

Outside his nonprofit work, Carlos is passionate about martial arts, with over 10 years of experience in Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, and Muay Thai. Known for his personable nature and ability to connect with people, Carlos brings a unique energy to every initiative he supports, making him a key advocate for the foundation’s mission.
